On April 22, 2025, the University of Montenegro’s Faculty of Economics in Podgorica hosted CROSS-REIS Info Day, organized in celebration of Earth Day and dedicated to advancing the vision of regenerative economies. The event brought together project partners, local stakeholders, green innovators, and even the youngest members of the community for a day of knowledge-sharing and engagement.

This year’s Info Day was opened by Professor Ana Lalević Filipović , CROSS-REIS Coordinator from the Faculty of Economics, who presented the project’s achievements and future plans. Veselin Popović from Luštica Development shared insights into Montenegro’s growing experience with regenerative tourism, highlighting the Luštica Bay development as a case of sustainable success.

The day continued with a dynamic panel discussion titled “The Role of Green Business in Global Sustainability: How Environmentally Responsible Enterprises Contribute to Planetary Health”, moderated by Dr. Milica Muhadinović. Panelists included local entrepreneurs and representatives of green start-ups and NGOs, such as 3D Room, ClimatrON, Green Wave, and I2 Makerspace – ADP ZID, who offered practical perspectives on the regenerative economy in action.

To round out the day with a focus on education and inclusion, a hands-on workshop for primary school students was held under the title “Small Steps for a Greener Planet – Let’s Learn to Protect What We Love”. Delivered by the “Do Good” Foundation and 3D Room, the workshop engaged pupils from the “Radojica Perović” Elementary School in discussions and activities promoting environmental awareness and sustainable habits.

The Podgorica Info Day successfully fulfilled its aim to raise public awareness of the CROSS-REIS project and expand participation in regenerative initiatives. By bringing together academia, business, civil society, and youth, the event demonstrated how collaborative engagement can power transformative change across generations.
